Carthage man seriously injured in accident on Chestnut Street

A Carthage man was injured in a two-vehicle accident 6:35 p.m. today on Chestnut Street, a quarter of a mile east of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Toyota Solara driven by Deborah L. Watts, 54, Carthage, pulled into the path of a 2009 Buell 725CR driven by Jagger T. Fraser, 21, Carthage. The bike overturned ejecting Fraser, who then struck the Watts vehicle.

Fraser was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
