Hidden throughout our community are remnants of our country’s past. The Joplin History and Mineral Museum offers a look back to significant periods in time.
Starting on Thursday, June 6, the Museum opens the “Remembering D-Day: 75th Anniversary of Normandy Invasion” exhibit. Some recall the invasion that took place on June 6, 1944 as epic and one that changed the course of World War II. It will be displayed at the museum through August 31 of this year.
Admission to this exhibit is $3 per person. The Joplin History and Mineral Museum is located at 504 South Schifferdecker Avenue. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. It is closed on Sunday and Monday.
