More than a dozen response agencies will participate in a full scale exercise rehearsing response to and clearing of traffic crashes on area roadways 12:30 p.m., Friday, June 7, at the Joplin Public Safety Training Center, 5102 Swede Lane, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
A crash scene will be staged at the training center and participants will practice a coordinated, multi-agency response to clear the scene and restore traffic flow as safely and quickly as possible.
Participants will include area fire and police departments, emergency medical services, towing and recovery services, dispatchers and MoDOT.
Area news media are encouraged to stop by the exercise. Participants will be available for interviews following the exercise.
