Elderly Golden City couple killed in tornado, another woman killed, her husband seriously injured

An elderly couple and a 56-year-old woman were killed during the tornado that ripped through Golden City 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was identified the victims as Kenneth Harris, 86, and his wife, Opal Harris, 83, according to Springfield radio station KTTS.

According to the Patrol, the Harrises were found 200 yards from their home.

Betty Berg, 56, was killed and her husband, Mark Berg, 56, suffered serious injuries.

    May they R.I.P. IT had to be devastating to go that way in a vicious storm. The gentleman who survived, I pray he has a speedy recovery. God Bless all of them!
