A Joplin man was arrested on drug charges following a one-vehicle accident 5:05 p.m. Saturday on I-44, seven miles west of Sarcoxie.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Honda Civic driven by Nicholas R. Johnson, 26, Joplin, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned, ejecting Johnson.
Johnson, who was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for not wearing a seat belt and for failure to drive in a single lane.
