According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Toyota Corolla driven by David Pastor Matul, 31, Carthage, traveling at a high rate of speed, failed to negotiate a left curve, skidded off the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Matul was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
