Arkansas residents injured in collision on I-49 in Pineville

Two Arkansas residents were injured in a two-vehicle collision 6:20 p.m. Saturday on I-49 at Pineville.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Lincoln MKA driven by Bill L. Long, 84, Rogers, Arkansas, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a guard rail, then returned to the road and was struck by a 2006 Honda Accord driven by Melissa R. Johnson, 46, Bella Vista, Arkansas.








Johnson was taken to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, to be treated for serious injuries.

Long was treated for minor injuries at the VA hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
