On November 8th, 2019, Officer Rice and Chief Corum responded to a female actively in cardiac arrest.
We were able to deploy our AED and begin compressions. Sarcoxie City Fire arrived on the scene and we all began to take turns with compressions. Mercy EMS arrived on the scene and began their medical saving procedures.
After one hour later we were able to get a pulse and our patient was life flighted to a local hospital for further treatment.
Tonight Chief Corum, Officer Rice, Asst Fire Chief Carnes, Firefighter Sanderson, Paramedic Amber Frost and Paramedic Austin Presley were presented with the Clinical Save Award by Mercy and Zoll.
Congratulations to all of those who were presented with awards tonight, without all involved our patient would not have made it.
