Five Vinita residents injured, four seriously, as truck slams into tree north of Seneca


Five Vinita, Oklahoma residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident 9:25 p.m. Wednesday on Jute Road, five miles north of Seneca.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1994 Ford F150 driven by Kevin Hiben, 35, Vinita, failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the road and slammed into a tree.







Hiben and three passengers, Tabitha A. Hiben, 34, a 16-year-old girl and a 12-year-old girl were treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

Another passenger, a nine-year-old girl, was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman.
