Lamar residents arrested for thefts at Jones Plumbing, Good Samaritan

The Lamar Police Department received reports of thefts that occurred overnight on January 5th and early morning, January 6th, at Jones Plumbing and The Good Samaritan. 

Det. Steve Shaw conducted an extensive investigation into both crimes and arrests have been made in both incidents. 

Hiram Christopher Ruth, 40, of Lamar, Mo, was formally charged with the theft and additional charges have been submitted to the Barton County Prosecutor for a second theft. Ruth is currently in custody. 

Charges for theft are being forwarded to the Barton County Prosecutor for Georgia D Sauerwin, 31, of Lamar, Mo. She is currently in custody.
