Diamond woman injured in ice-related crash on 59


A Diamond woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident 8:26 p.m. Tuesday on MO 59, 250 feet south of Diamond.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2004 Nissan X-Terra driven by Elizabeth Dowd, 42, Diamond, lost control on the ice-covered roadway, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned.

Dowd was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
