A Joplin man was injured in a two-vehicle collision 12:20 p.m. Sunday on I-44, five miles east of Mount Vernon.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by Roger L. Galla, 56, Hoxie, Arkansas, was attempting to change lanes and was struck in the rear by a 2019 Jeep Cherokee driven by Daniel W. Martin, 61, Joplin.
Martin was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
