Oronogo woman seriously injured in head-on collision on 96


An Oronogo woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident 8 a.m. Saturday on MO 96, two miles west of Halltown.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Jeep Cherokee driven by Madison M. Perez, 23, Oronogo, crossed the center line in heavy fog and struck a 2019 Freightliner Cascadia driven by David R. Royer, 65, Galena, head on.

Perez was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
