On 02-21-21 at approximately 5:30 PM, Jasper County Deputies were dispatched to 255 Greenfield, Avilla.
At the scene, the bodies of a male and female were located deceased. Investigation revealed that it appeared the two individuals were murdered.
At approximately 4:30 AM, 02-22-2021, a suspect in the crime, Kevin C. Johnson, 24, Reeds, was arrested for homicide.
At approximately 4:30 AM, 02-22-2021, a suspect in the crime, Kevin C. Johnson, 24, Reeds, was arrested for homicide.
He is currently being held in the Jasper County Jail awaiting formal charges. There are no other suspects being sought at this time.
An autopsy has been scheduled for both individuals for today.
This incident appears to be related to the homicide that occurred in Newton County on 02-20-21. Investigation into these incidents continues.
