A Pierce City woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 3:30 a.m. today on Farm Road 2040, three miles southwest of Monett.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2004 Honda Civic driven by Valorie A. Sanford, 43, Pierce City, traveled off the roadway and struck a bridge.
Sanford and a passenger, Heather D. Allgood, 37, Joplin, were treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
In addition to DWI, Sanford was cited for careless and imprudent driving and for not having insurance.
