Columbus residents injured in three-vehicle accident north of Joplin

Two Columbus, Kansas residents were injured in a three-vehicle accident 4:55 p.m. Tuesday on MO 43, two miles north of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 17-year-old Oronogo boy failed to stop for stopped traffic and struck a 1995 Dodge Dakota driven by Shannon L. Perry, 42, Columbus, in the rear, pushing the Perry vehicle into a 2019 Ram 1500 driven by Barton W. Starkey, 57, Webb City.

Perry was treated for moderate injuries and a passenger in her vehicle, a 14-year-old boy, for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
