Route 571 closed in Carthage beginning next week

TRAFFIC ALERT: Route 571 (Fairlawn/Garrison Ave.) CLOSED in Carthage Beginning June 22

Where: Missouri Route 571 (Fairlawn/Garrison Ave.) between Southside Boulevard and Maple Street in Carthage

When: 8 a.m., Tuesday, June 22 for up to 45 days

What: All lanes of Route 571 (Fairlawn/Garrison Ave.) CLOSED to allow contractor crews to transition traffic to new roundabout pattern.

Traffic Impacts

All lanes of Route 571 (Fairlawn/Garrison Ave.) CLOSED between Southside Boulevard and Maple Street

Drivers will have access to entrances on either side of work zone but will not be able to travel through work zone

Drivers will be directed to signed detour using Routes 571, 96, I-49 and Jasper Route HH

Signs and message board will alert drivers approaching work zone

Drivers should seek alternate route

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

Additional Project Information: This work is part of a project that also includes resurfacing and sidewalk improvements along Route 571 between Fairview Avenue and I-49.
