(From the Joplin Police Department)The Joplin Police Department is proud to welcome and introduce our newest K-9 to the JPD family.
His name is Ronin and he is a 14-month-old German Shepherd.
Ronin came from Poland and was obtained from F.M. K9 in Michigan. Ronin’s handler will be Officer Benjamin Eckels, who was recently selected to be the next K-9 officer following extensive testing.
Officer Eckels and Ronin will be undergoing extensive training over the next several months through Patriot K-9 Training.
Once training is completed, Ronin will be certified in narcotics detection and suspect apprehension. Please join us in welcoming K-9 Ronin to JPD!
