Pierce City pedestrian struck, killed on 37

A Pierce City man died in an accident 9:58 p.m. Sunday on MO 37, one mile north of Pierce City.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Ford F250 driven by Luis F. Cruz, 23, Wentworth, struck Bryan J. Perryman, 29, Pierce City, who was walking in the roadway.

Lawrence County Coroner Scott Lakin pronounced Perryman dead at 11:57 p.m.

The fatality was the 134th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
