Officer Kyle Foltz officially retired from the Joplin Police Department Friday after completing 20 years of service to the City of Joplin.

Officer Foltz graduated from the Missouri Southern State University Law Enforcement Academy in the fall of 2001 and was hired by the Joplin Police Department on December 17th, 2001.

During his time at JPD, Officer Foltz has worked as a Police Officer, Field Training Officer, Detective, Traffic Officer, Crime Free Officer and is retiring as the municipal court Bailiff.

We want to congratulate Officer Foltz on a fantastic career and thank him for his service and dedication to the department and citizens of this great city.

While he officially retires, Officer Foltz will be returning to JPD in the near future and will be working in the same capacity as the municipal court Bailiff. We look forward to retaining one of our veteran officers.
