Jasper Police Department arrests three on meth charges

(From the Jasper Police Department)

On Monday, January 3rd, 2022 at 1504 hours, contact was made with 3 subjects inside Pete’s Convenience Store at the slot machines.

While on patrol, the officer ran a license plate of a tan 2001 Chevrolet passenger vehicle with a license plate that checked back on a different vehicle than what it was on.

I parked my patrol vehicle and entered the store. I made contact with the male who was in the vehicle and two females who were all by the slot machines in the store. Contact was made with Kayleigh Willet (Nevada), McKenna Jacobs (Nevada) and the white male who identified himself as Matthew Dewey and said he had no identification, nor did he know his social security number.

Jacobs advised they all three arrived in the vehicle and that it was her grandma's vehicle. When pressed further, the male subject admitted he gave the wrong name and said his real name was Andrew Dewey.

Andrew Dewey was arrested for obstruction/resisting arrest. The officer searched his person and pockets and located a multi-colored cloth pouch which had a glass pipe with white powder residue and a red plastic baggy with about 2 grams of white crystal substance inside. Dewey said admitted it was meth.

After a search of Jacobs' person, pockets and purse, a meth pipe along with about 5 grams of crystal meth was found.

A homemade glass pipe bong with a yellow liquid inside believed to be liquid with methamphetamine in it was located in Willet’s purse… She admitted the purse was hers and the pipe was hers and that the liquid was methamphetamine, and the pipe was used to smoke methamphetamine. (Located in a large purse in the front passenger area of the vehicle) Yellow liquid field tested positive for methamphetamine.

All three persons were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dewey is facing an additional charge of obstruction/resisting arrest.

Think about this… Between the 3 of them, they have 7-8 kids. That’s 7-8 kids that are also victims here as they have basically lost a parent to the meth nonsense. So why don’t you NOT even think about using meth? That’s a way good choice.
