Neosho man cited for DWI following injury accident on 60

A Neosho man was cited for driving while intoxicated on drugs following a two-vehicle accident 8:50 a.m. today on U. S. 60, four miles west of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Christopher L. Potts, 31, Neosho, failed to stop for a stop sign and pulled into the path of a 2007 GMC Sierra driven by John S. Hurn, 62, Neosho, and was struck.

Potts, who was also cited for driving while suspended, according to the Highway Patrol arrest report, for serious injuries and Hurn for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
