(From the Jasper County Sheriff's Office)On May 15, 2024, Jasper County Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Michael Donovan Roland, 38, of Joplin, following a report that was received of an incident of sexual assault.
Roland was also a suspect in two separate and unrelated investigations of sexual assault that have occurred recently.
Roland was transported to the Jasper County Detention Center and charges have been submitted to the prosecutor for Sodomy 1st degree, Kidnapping 1st degree, and assault 3rd degree.
The investigation involving Roland is still ongoing and may produce additional charges.
