Neosho teen involved in double-fatality crash in Stoddard County

Two Sikeston residents were killed in a two-vehicle accident 9:30 p. m. Thursday on U. S. 60 three miles east of Essex in Stoddard County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Ford Fusion driven by Chance D. Winkler, 19, Neosho, struck the rear of a 2015 Fiat 500 driven by Sheila K. Mosley, 65, Sikeston, causing both vehicles to run off the right side of the roadway.

 Mosley and a passenger in her vehicle, Gerald K. Mosley, 81, Sikeston, were pronounced dead at the scene by Stoddard County Coroner Brent Stidham at 11:20 p.m.

Another passenger in the Mosley vehicle, Jamie D. Minks, 44, Dexter, was treated for minor injuries at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau.

The fatalities were the 25th and 26th this year Highway Patrol Troop E.
