Portion of Connecticut Avenue in Joplin to be closed beginning Tuesday

Starting Tuesday, May 14, weather permitting, Connecticut Avenue will be closed to traffic between 33rd Street and 36th Street. 

Closures will be occurring between the aforementioned streets for the installation of multiple stormwater crossings beneath the roadway. This work is occurring as part of the ongoing Connecticut Avenue widening project. 

Work is expected to last through the end of the week. The road will be open at the end of each workday and the closure will resume each morning. Side streets will be open, and access will be maintained for the nearby residents during the closure.
