A Joplin man was seriously injured in a kayak accident 3 p.m. Saturday on James River near Baker Hole one mile north of Galena.
According to the Highway Patrol report, the kayak was pinned against a tree in the river causing Thomas Forehand, 72, Joplin, to fall overboard where he was pinned under a log.
Forehand was treated for serious injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
