Starting Friday, July 26, the North 200 block of Cox Avenue will be closed as stormwater improvements are made in the area. This closure could last for approximately three months, weather permitting.
Several stormwater improvements are being made in this area, and this closure allows for the installation of box culverts under the roadway, along with ditch improvements and new storm sewer along Cox Avenue and the area.
Due to the complete road closure, there will be no through traffic allowed on this roadway and drivers should use alternate routes. Area residents will still have access during this construction phase.
The stormwater improvement project will remedy stormwater overflow in the street and direct it to the appropriate channels.
