Portion of Connecticut Avenue in Joplin to be closed

Starting Wednesday, July 17, weather permitting, Connecticut Avenue will be closed to through traffic between 32nd Street and 33rd Street. 

Work is expected to last through July 17 and 18. If there is a weather delay, work will begin/resume when possible.

 

Connecticut Ave. will be open at the end of each workday, and the closure will resume each morning. During the closure, access will be maintained for the nearby residents and businesses.

These closures will occur for the installation of stormwater crossings beneath the roadway and is part of the ongoing Connecticut Avenue widening project. Alternate routes are encouraged to be used during this time period. The City appreciates your patience.
