Galena woman arrested, large quantity of meth confiscated

(From the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office)

Around 7:30 Wednesday morning, the Ozark Drug Enforcement Team, Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team and the Galena Police Department served a narcotics search warrant at 412 Washington Street in Galena.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office joined the Ozark Drug Enforcement Team earlier this year to enhance enforcement efforts toward those trafficking and distributing dangerous illegal drugs throughout the region, including our community.

The warrant execution in Galena was the result of one of the joint investigations currently being conducted.

During the course of the search, a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine, along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia, was seized from the home.

Arrested at the scene was 28-year-old Sabrina LaTurner. LaTurner was transported to the Cherokee County Jail on allegations of Distributing a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a School, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Felony and Misdemeanor Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana.
