Seneca pedestrian struck by car, killed in Granby


A Seneca woman was killed in a car-pedestrian accident 7:32 p.m. Thursday on Highway B in Granby.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 GMC Sierra driven by Jeb S. Hann, 60, Granby, struck Vidalia M. Boyer, 20, Seneca, who was on the edge of the roadway.








Newton County Coroner Dale Owen pronounced Boyer dead at the scene at 8:41 p.m.

A 3-year-old Seneca boy who was with Boyer was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Joplin.

The fatality was the 94th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
