(From Missouri Southern State University) The Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) was honored with two prestigious awards at the 2025 MU Extension Business and Cmmunities Conference in Kansas City, Missouri. These awards highlight the center’s dedication to fostering small business growth and economic development in the region.
The Missouri SBDC at MSSU received the FY 2024 Top Overall Performance Award, a recognition given to the center that surpasses all performance goals and demonstrates exceptional impact in serving local small businesses. This achievement reflects the team’s hard work, expertise, and unwavering commitment to helping businesses start, grow, and succeed.
Additionally, Katie Kelly, director of the Missouri SBDC at MSSU, was presented with the esteemed Spirit Award. This award celebrates an individual who embodies the mission, vision, and values of the SBDC network, going above and beyond to create a thriving environment for staff, stakeholders, and clients. Through her leadership, passion, and dedication, Katie has made a lasting impact on the small business community and the Missouri SBDC network.
