Seneca man captured after pursuit following armed robbery in Stark City

On March 17, 2025 at approximately 2:46PM, Newton County Central Dispatch received a call of a possible armed robbery that had occurred at 415 South St in Stark City, MO.

The caller indicated that a male subject had come to his father’s property, displayed a gun, and demanded money from him. 







At approximately 3:04PM, Officers with the Seneca Police Department saw the possible suspect vehicle in Seneca. They attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle did not stop, and a pursuit was initiated.

After a short pursuit, the suspect vehicle crashed in the area of Old 60 Dr and Antelope near Seneca. The driver of the vehicle was identified as David Inkanish. He was taken into custody and was transported to a local hospital. Inkanish has since been transported to the Newton County Jail.

David Inkanish was arrested for 1st Degree Robbery, DWI, Felony Fleeing, and 1st Degree Property Damage. This is an ongoing investigation, and additional charges may be filed at a later time.








Assistance on this incident was provided by Seneca PD, Newton County Ambulance, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Seneca City Fire, and the Seneca Area Fire Protection District.
