(From MoDOT)A project to make intersection improvements along U.S. Route 60 in Newton and Barry counties begins the week of March 17, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Contractor crews will begin work Monday, March 17 in Newton County installing right turn lanes at the intersections of Route 60 and Newton County Route Y/CC east of Seneca, and Route 60 and Hammer Road west of Neosho. Aside from occasional short-term lane closures to move equipment in and out of the work zone, there will be little impact to traffic during this phase of the project.
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
The overall project looks like this. Contractor crews will make intersection improvements at these six (6) locations along Route 60 in Newton and Barry counties:
