Jasper County Sheriff's Office sending volunteer group to Goodman Wednesday

(From the Jasper County Sheriff's Office)

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office employees, families and friends, will be going to help clean up in the tornado affected area in Goodman. If you are interested in joining us to help, we would gladly accept all the help we can get. We are in need of chainsaws and man power. The property we are going to be working on has numerous trees down.

If you are interested, or know someone who would be interested, please join us. The clean- up will be this Wednesday (the 12th), starting at 3 PM, and going until dark. If you can’t make it by 3, just get as soon as you can.

This is our community’s opportunity to return the favor from when people, from all over, came to help when a tornado affected Jasper County. This is the perfect opportunity to “pay it forward”.

Directions to clean-area:
Head south on I-49 to the second Goodman Exit (Exit 16). At the off ramp turn left going under the bridges. Immediately after the bridges there will be two driveways on the left side of the road; that is the clean up location. Parking will be on the shoulder of the roadway, so please pull over as far as possible for safety reasons.
