JPD interrupts suspected meth sale at 4th and St. Louis Kum N Go, two arrested on felony charges

(From the Joplin Police Department)

We do media releases on big incidents and post them to facebook, but a lot of good things our officers do day to day go unnoticed.

We will start doing an "Incident Spotlight" from time to time so the community knows what their officers are accomplishing in their mission to make our community safer and a better place. These will be brief summaries. Here is our first post:

Incident Spotlight

On August 10th, 2017 at about 7PM, a couple of our officers observed two vehicles parked together at Snak Atak (Kum N Go) at 4th and St. Louis. They observed behavior that they determined was likely a narcotics sale between the two vehicles. Officers contacted both vehicles, resulting in three people arrested and more than 12 grams of meth seized. Two of the three suspects were arrested for felony drug crimes.

Our officers are constantly on the lookout for narcotics activity and this is a small example of their efforts.
