JPD traffic stop breaks up drug deal, meth confiscated

Yesterday evening at 7:40 p.m. one of our officers stopped a truck at St. Louis and Campbell Parkway for failing to use a turn signal. He learned the truck was the suspect vehicle in pointing of a firearm at another person on July 18th. 

After further investigation, marijuana and meth were located in the vehicle. The officer had disrupted a drug transaction between the occupants. The 56 year old driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and the 17-year-old passenger was arrested for distribution of a controlled substance.
