Sarcoxie Alderman/Mayor Pro Tem dies

It’s with sad heart tonight that I announce the passing of Alderman/ Mayor Pro Tem Scott McKay earlier today. 

Everyone lucky enough to know Scott know how much he enjoyed representing the people of Sarcoxie and how seriously he took his responsibilities. 

He cared for our town and all of us who call it home. Scott was even more passionate about the students he worked with at school. Listen to him talk about his job and you would quickly realize it was so much more than a job to him. It was a way of life that he embraced with his whole heart.

Thank you, Scott for everything you did for all of us. You touched a lot of lives and left a lasting impact. You will be missed!
