Athletics
·         Roughrider Soccer team defeated Blue River this past weekend to bring their season record to 6-4-1. They will play Tues at Drury at 7pm then at home Sun., Oct 8 at 2pm vs Northern OK.  Campus For a complete schedule go to: http://crowderathletics.com/sports/msoc/2017-18/schedule
·         The Roughrider Women’s Basketball team will kick off their season scrimmages Oct. 14. Season Opener will be at home on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 6pm. For a complete game schedule go to: http://crowderathletics.com/sports/wbkb/2017-18/schedule
·         Crowder Baseball 2017 Skills Showcase Camps – October 29. Open to players in grades 9-12, 10am starts. Cost is $100 per player per session. Each session is limited to 60 players. ·         Blood Drive, October 3, 9am-2pm in the Student Center on the Neosho campus.
·         Show Me Crowder will be held Wed., Oct 25. This event is for high school Juniors/Seniors and anyone interested in finding out more about Crowder College. ·         Vet Tech program is accepting pet phots for uts 2018 calendar. Submission of high quality digital photos to Shawna Estep in Williams Building Room 141 or email: SEstep@Crowder.edu. Deadline is Thurs., Oct. 19 at noon.
·         Crowder Theatre Auditions for A Good Old Fashioned Redneck Christmas will be held Oct 11 & 12, 5-7PM (cold reading and improv). For more information email: Theatre@Crowder.edu

Community Events
·         Joshua Knott Exhibit in Longwell Museum, Aug. 17-Oct 12, 9am-6:30pm, M-F. Artist reception Oct. 6, 5-7pm. Artist statement: Art and life both happen in fragments. For me, the process of making art is the act of reconfiguring those fragments. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
·         Renewable Energy Forum, Oct. 12 6:30-8pm in the Roy Blunt Center for Missouri Alternative & Renewable Energy Technology (MARET) – Open house with vendors in the alternative energy field

·         Community Education classes have been scheduled for the fall semester in Neosho. These short workshops are for community members as they are geared towards hobbies and special interests. ·         Crowder Theatre presents Dracula, Oct 19-21, 7:30pm nightly + 2pm matinee on Sat., Oct. 21. 
Tickets available: $8-general admission; $5-Senior Citizens; $4-Crowder Students/Staff.
·         Celebrate MARET (Missouri Alternative & Renewable Energy) will be held Monday, October 23, 6pm in the Elsie Plaster Community Center. This marks the 25th year Crowder has been designated MARET by the state legislature and next year marks the 40th year of alternative energy classes. Induction of the inaugural member to the Alternative Energy Hall of Fame will presented at the event. This event is free and open to the public.
·         Manufacturing Day will be held at the Joplin Advanced Training & Technology Center Friday, Oct. 6, 11AM-12:30PM. See what great opportunities are available with the new training center. Bring a business card for admission.
·         The Crowder Vet Tech program has pets for adoption. Check out the dogs and cats available:http://www.crowder.edu/academics/departments/agriculture/vet-tech/pet-adoption/
Foundation
·         Win a Honda Fit raffle for the 15th Annual Festival of Wreaths.  Tickets are $50 each with only 500 being sold! Drawing will take place at the 15th Annual Festival of Wreaths, Nov. 14. Purchase tickets online: winahondafit.com or call the Foundation Office at 417.455.5646.
·         28th Annual Scholarship Banquet will be held Monday, October 9, Bob Sneller Gymnasium. Annually the Foundation holds the event inviting scholarship donors and recipients. If you would like to become a scholarship donor please visit with our Foundation Office at: 417.455.5646
·         Mark your calendar for the 15th Annual Festival of Wreaths, Nov. 14. This is the single largest fundraising event for the Foundation. Watch for more information or call: 417.455.5646
