On 07-05-2019 the Barton County 911 dispatch received a call of a domestic assault that had just occurred west of Lamar across from the Lamar Airport on 160 Highway.
While en-route, the deputy asked for a Lamar Police Officer to respond to assist in the investigation.
Prior to arrival, the deputy learned the suspect had driven away from the home.
When the officers were speaking with the victim they learned the allegation was that the suspect had thrown the victim to the ground by pulling her hair.
While on scene the male suspect arrived back at the residence and he was arrested without incident.
The suspect was identified as Joseph S. Gully, age 30, of Lamar. He was arrested for the criminal charge of Domestic Assault, and driving while intoxicated.
