Noel woman killed in head-on collision on 90

A Noel woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision 3:25 p.m. today on MO 90, a quarter of a mile south of Noel.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2010 Nissan Altima driven by Doris A. Herndez-Barrios, 55, Noel, crossed the center line and struck a 2016 Dodge 3500 driven by James W. Thurman, 42, Noel head on.

Herndez-Barrios was pronounced dead at the scene by McDonald County Deputy Coroner Jonathan Fletcher.







Thurman was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman Neosho.

The fatality was the 47th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
