Northbound Route 249 Bridge at 17th St. in Joplin CLOSED for Approach Improvements Beginning July 22


Where: Northbound Missouri Route 249 bridge over 17th Street in Joplin

When: Round the clock beginning 8 a.m., Monday, July 22 for up to four (4) weeks

What: Contractor crews improving approach to the bridge to provide a smoother transition

Traffic Impacts:

-Northbound Missouri Route 249 CLOSED round the clock at 17thStreet

-Drivers will be directed to use a signed detour of Route VV (Zora Street) east to Jasper County Route AA (Prosperity Avenue) north to Jasper County Route HH

This work is part of a larger project to improve the approaches to several bridges on Route 249 between Missouri Route 171 and 20th Street in Joplin.

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
