In a widely-shared Facebook post today, a Lamar woman is asking for prayers for her 10-year-old son, who was injured in a UTV crash 4:23 p.m. Wednesday on SW 20th Road, two miles south of Lamar.(The Facebook post is embedded below.)
Jill Onstott posted this photo, of her husband. T. J. Onstott and their son, Troy, from Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, where he was airlifted to be treated for serious injuries.
According to the Highway Patrol report, Troy J. Onstott, 10, Lamar, driving a 2019 Polaris Ranger XP 900, lost control on the gravel road, skidded off the right side of the roadway and struck a field entrance, then overturned several times, ejecting the boy.
The praying for Troy Onstott was already taking place even before the Facebook post, Jill Onstott wrote.
There has been an overwhelming amount of prayer from our friends, family, our Lamar community, our Seneca community, and beyond. We are feeling your prayers and ask that you continue to pray for Troy. He is having trouble waking up so we’re just waiting and praying, it’s all we can do. Thank you all!

ReplyDeleteHE is truly with the Onslott family and friends in this time of hurting.... HE will never leave you, HE will always carry you on these times of confusion, pain, sorrow and grief.
God will never leave your side no matter what. You don't know what his reasons are for this accident and fight for life that is now unfolding.
It may be for a new procedure to be invented, a drug to start developing, teaching doctors all over the world to start doing trauma medicine differently....
You don't know and may never know HIS REASONS. But HE KNOWS.... THIS IS WHY I ALWAYS TURN A NEGATIVE SITUATION INTO A POSITIVE AND POSSIBLE SITUATION... HAVE FAITH GOD KNOWS....!!!!
HE is the Almighty God, we should trust in HIM even though our faith waivers because you don't get the answers you want or in the time you want.... It's not time yet, it may never be time, because it's not what HE wants for your life.....
IT IS SO VERY EASY FOR OUR FLAWED, WICKED, SELFISH SELVES TO BLAME GOD.... HE HAS GIVEN US ALL FREE WILL..... IT'S WHAT YOU CHOOSE WITH THIS FREE WILL THAT WILL AFFECT YOUR LIFE....!!!!
Whatever reason GOD has for the Onslott Family is yet to be determined.
My every prayer, hope, & wish is for Troy Onslott to completely heal his little body, mind, and soul and let him have no lasting effects from this terrible tragedy. As well as give the whole Onslott family to rally together, and persevere behind each other. No blaming, just loving each other, coming together, helping each other together so everyone can help each other with the challenges that are going to be at hand if the LORD wills Troy Onslott to be with his family or Call him home because his job is done....
