Three Carthage teens injured, one seriously, as car goes airborne, crashes, overturns several times

Three Carthage teens were injured in a one-vehicle crash 6:20 p.m. today on Cedar Road, two miles southeast of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Honda Civic driven by Anthony N. Riner, 17, Carthage, crested a hill and became airborne, crossed the center of the roadway, began skidding, traveled off the roadway and overturned multiple times.







A 14-year-old juvenile was taken to Mercy Hospital, Joplin, with serious injuries.

Riner and another passenger, a 16-year-old juvenile were treated for moderate and minor injuries, respectively, at Mercy.
