Seneca Police make arrests on local, Joplin warrants

1/8/20, Officer Fort made a traffic stop at Cherokee/Osage for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for DWS and was transported to Newton County Jail.

On 1/7/20, Officer Fort and Officer Zimmerman were traveling west on Oneida, when a male subject crossed the road in front of their car.

The subject, Matthew Crawford was arrested on two warrants out of Seneca for: FTA Disorderly Conduct and Fail to Obey Lawful Order. Crawford was then transported to Newton County Jail.

1/5/20, Officer Zimmerman made a traffic stop on Hwy U for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for DWS and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 12/24/19, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Washington/Thomas Ln for both moving and equipment violations.

The male driver jumped out and ran and the female passenger jumped into the driver seat and took off. 

Officer Kirby found the male driver a short distance from the initial stop. The female driver ran off the road approximately one mile from the initial stop. 

The female driver was identified as Sarah Humbard. She was arrested on a warrant out of Joplin for: Peace Disturbance. She was also cited for: DWI, C&I Driving, Speeding, Fail to Yield, Resisting Arrest, Open Container, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The male driver was cited for DWS
