Carthage residents injured in two-vehicle accident

Two Carthage residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident 9:10 a.m. today on County Road 110, three miles south of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Ford 500 driven by Tara A. Petersen, 31, Carthage, crossed the center line and sideswiped a 2010 Mercury SUV driven by Donald A. Perkins, 85, Carthage.

Perkins and a passenger, Juanita Perkins, 78, Carthage, were treated for moderate and minor injuries, respectively, at Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage.
