Enrollment being accepted in Jasper County Sheriff's Citizen Academy

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is now offering enrollment in our 19th, semi-annual, Sheriff’s Citizens Academy.

This session will run from March 5th to May 7th. Classes will be held every Thursday night from 6:30-8:30 PM at various locations in Carthage, Mo.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older, have no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions. There is no cost for participants.








Topics will include: Patrol Functions, Dangerous Drugs, DWI Enforcement, K-9 Operations, Detention Center Operations, Dispatching, SWAT Operations, Firearms, Less-Lethal/Taser, Cyber Crimes, Crimes against Children, Criminal Investigations, and Crime Scene Investigations.

Interested persons can visit www.jaspercountysheriff.org to obtain a registration form. Completed forms can be faxed to 417-359-8620, hand delivered or mailed to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office SCA, 231 South Main St. Carthage, Mo. 64836.
