Barton County deputies rescue wounded eagle

(From the Barton County Sheriff's Office)

On 2-15-2020 The Barton County Sheriff's Office was notified about an injured eagle in the area of SE 20th Rd and 50th Ln.

Deputies were able to catch the eagle and contact the Barton County Conservation Agent Scott Brown.

Agent Brown is going to take the eagle to a veterinarian to be medically treated. We are hoping that the eagle will recover and live a long healthy life.

No matter the outcome I want to thank those who stepped up to help.

Thank you to Deputy Sheriff Zakk Yokley, and Corrections Officers Kyle Riggs and Zach Kirch for their efforts in catching the eagle.
