We are looking for those who want to serve our great community.

The Joplin Police Department is looking for new Police Officers. If you have been considering a career in law enforcement now is the best time to make your consideration a reality.

Currently licensed law enforcement officers are always welcome, but if you are not currently a law enforcement professional and have what it takes to join our team we would be happy to send you to Missouri’s Basic Law Enforcement Academy after you are employed with us. 

If you want to see if you have the right stuff to join our team please get your application turned in before March 13th so that you can attend our Police Officer testing on the morning of March 14th. Applications Due by 5 pm on March 13, 2020. Please bring completed background packets with you to the testing, if possible. Please read the instructions carefully on the background packet. Any mistakes can cause you not to be moved forward in our hiring process.
