Carthage woman, four children injured in crash east of Joplin

A Carthage woman and four children were injured in a one-vehicle crash 7:50 p.m. Friday on Route AA, five miles east of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Krista S. Moss, 30, Carthage, crossed the center line, overcorrected, skidded off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, returned to the roadway and overturned.

Moss was treated for moderate injuries and four girls, ages 5, 6, 8 and 9, for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
