Newsmakers program focuses on financial aid for MSSU students

(From Southern News Service)

The efforts to stay connected to Missouri Southern students, and assist some of them financially, are the focus of the next edition of “Newsmakers” on KGCS-TV.

Kevin Greim, associate vice president for university development, and Dr. Julie Wengert, associate vice president of student affairs and dean of student success – join Judy Stiles, host and KGCS general manager, to discuss a variety of topics including the Lions Helping Lions financial campaign, and the ongoing efforts to reach every MSSU student via telephone during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The show will air nightly at 5:30 p.m., beginning Wednesday, April 22 – and is currently posted on the station’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3XfbrY1Lsk, as well as the university’s website: www.mssu.edu.

KGCS programming can be seen on channel 21. It is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
